I have bought a 190E 1.8 model 1992 with 82.000km ( 51.250 miles), and pretty good shape, I will post some pictures soon. The car feels very well, and has got no problem, it needs to have the bushings of the sway bar to be replaced. It will now partner my 2.3-16 euro version model 1985 ( 100.000km). I got pulled over once in my 190e for going through a cloverleaf at 95kph. The car was tilting heftily, but it could still dig tighter into the corner, and the tyres were not yet even chirping. My old 8th gen Si couldn't do that speed, neither could my speed3, nor can my e46. But the 190e was floating around the bend at that speed.

Lots of 200k + mile examples around, still in very good shape. MB single indicator and lights stalk on right of steering column where it should be.
When the 190E 1.8 was released onto the market here around '91 it was still around $65,000 and as a result was a slow seller. Much of the cost was due to the luxury car tax that applied above $45,000. Mercedes-Benz then decided to remove a lot of the standard equipment from the 190E 1.8 and call it a 180E.
